Download BibleTime

This is a short list of available download locations. Please see below for detailed download and installation instructions.

  • Sourcecode can be downloaded from SourceForge.

  • Windows releases can be downloaded from SourceForge.

  • Ubuntu packages are available in the repository and here. Updated packages for Ubuntu 8.04 (Hardy Heron) and 7.10 (Gutsy Gibbon) are offered here.

  • Debian packages are available in the repository and here.

  • Gentoo packages zijn in Portage. U hoeft alleen maar "emerge bibletime" te kiezen.

  • OpenSuse packages can be downloaded from PackMan, here.

  • A FreeBSD application port of BibleTime can be found at www.freebsd.org.

  • PC-BSD packages are available here.

BibleTime-installatie

Deze sectie legt uit hoe u BibleTime kunt installeren op uw systeem. In principe zijn er twee manieren om het te installeren. Ofwel door voorgebouwde binary packages te gebruiken of door de broncode te compileren. BibleTime installeren met gebruikmaking van voorgebouwde packages is de makkelijkste manier.

Voorgebouwde binary packages

With the help of great volunteers, we try to provide packages for many popular Linux/Unix distributions. Before installing BibleTime, however, you need to find and install packages for CLucene >= 0.9.16a and Sword.

First download the binary package for your distribution listed above, and install it. More information can also be found on the BibleTime development wiki.

Als er geen packages beschikbaar zijn voor uw versie van Linux, dan moet u installeren vanuit de broncode. Hieronder staat hoe dat moet.

Installatie vanuit broncode

Installation using BibleTime's source code is more difficult than using binary packages. Please follow the steps detailed on the BibleTime development wiki.

Installatie van Sword-modules

U heeft Sword modules nodig om te werken met BibleTime. Vanaf versie 1.4 biedt BibleTime een gebruikersvriendelijke dialoog (de Boekenplank Manager) om modules te installeren/updaten/verwijderen. We bevelen u sterk aan om langs deze weg modules te installeren op uw computer.
